QMU Honor Society New Member Induction Ceremony

The QMU Edinburgh Honor Society of Nursing welcomed over 40 new members at it’s Induction Ceremony held on 12th March 2019. Among the delegates were students from QMU BSc Hons Nursing programme, Nurse Leaders from NHS Lothian, QNIS and the QMUEHS Board of Directors.

 

QMUEHS President Jan Dewing gave an overview of the benefits of membership and launched the start of the 2019 event programme. Look out for details of the next two events scheduled for the 25th April and 24th May 2019.

 

Professor Brendan McCormack delivered the key note presentation “Going gLocal, Down in Sigma Global”. Key points of this presentation are the enormous membership benefits that the Sigma global organisation provide in enhancing the learning, development & leadership of Nurses and practice and how this can be adapted and implemented in our local nursing communities.
